Aoussou Festival — 58th edition · 2017
- The 58th edition of the Aoussou Festival in Sousse, held from 18 to 26 July 2017, featured music, parades and entertainment in many venues across Sousse and in Port El Kantaoui, Hammam Sousse, with the participation of numerous brass bands, majorettes, floats, sculptures and giant puppets.
- The parade set off from the Arts Quay next to the commercial port and made its way along Habib Bourguiba Avenue to the main tourist road of Sousse (Boujaafar corniche).
- The festival programme also included an open day of entertainment and physical expression for holidaymakers and tourists on 18 July, on Twin Cities Square and Boujaafar beach in Sousse.
- The National Ballet of Burkina Faso took part in the festival’s entertainment shows on 19 July, and evening performances by national and foreign troupes were held on 20, 21 and 22 July.
- The evening of 25 July was devoted to celebrating Republic Day, with fireworks on Twin Cities Square and Borj Khadija beach in Sousse, after approval from the relevant security services.
- The Aoussou Festival closed with street performances in Port El Kantaoui on 27 July.
